High School State Champions signings at Baton Rouge (cont’d...)

“He  has a very high soccer IQ and will benefit greatly from playing with a high caliber of player this summer.“

Cabos added, "It’s a great opportunity for me to learn from players who are in college and have played at the highest level.  I look to use this experience to further my soccer ability and enhance my chances of a scholarship in my senior year"

Breeding
Louisiana seems to be a breeding ground for young talent as these three players add to a growing list of local prodigies to have signed for the Capitals.  Hayers and his coaching staff have been very impressed with level of soccer in Louisiana and are keen for Baton Rouge Capitals to become known as the club that will give these boys their first taste of high-level soccer while progressing and nurturing their talent to improve their careers further down the line.

Stuart Hayers noted, "I have been to watch these boys a number of times, along with other local players, and I have been blown away at what they can do.  Having played in the PDL myself, I know they will make a great contribution - both in competitive matches and training - and they will benefit massively from a summer surrounded by some of the best college and PDL players in the game.

“It is important to our organization to build a reputation for recognizing local talent and utilizing it. The relationship between Louisiana youth soccer and the Capitals is win-win and excites me greatly".

Footnote: Jesuit high School recently defeated Lafayette 2-1 in a dramatic final in Shreveport, LA.  Jesuit High School has received a number-one ranking in the nation this season - and signees Joe Hart (GK), Jordan Scharwtz (DEF) and Stephen Cabos all played an instrumental part in this monumental achievement.
