LAREDO TAKES ROUND 1

Gino Ray (Slidell, LA) scored the only goal for the Capitals on the 3-1 loss at Laredo, TX on Friday. The Heat struck first early in the game but the Capitals had the better play most of the second half. However, the Baton Rouge team had to take chances to try to equalize since the Heat was content to sit back and protect the lead. In a quick counter attack, the Texans scored the second goal and basically decided the game. Although Ray scored and missed a wide open chance, it was not enough and the Heat was able to score one more.

Now both teams will rematch on Saturday and a win will make it all right for the Capitals.
