CAPITALS BEAT NEW ORLEANS ONCE AGAIN
The Baton Rouge Capitals won the three-game-series with the New Orleans Shockers 3-2. The game started with utter dominance from the Capitals as they took a 2-0 lead in within 20 minutes of play. Leo de Barros and Gino Ray converted respectively on a free kick and on a cross from the BJ Reine. The Shockers scored late in the first half and then half way through the second to bring it to a tie.
With seconds left in the game, Leo de Barros scored yet again with a 25 yard shot that found the back of the net. The Capitals can now finish as high as second on the table tied with Laredo. Although for that to happen Laredo and El Paso will have to lose their remaining matches, the Capitals will try to beat Mississippi on Friday to do their part in the hunt for a play off birth.
The game will be at Olympia Stadium at 7:00 pm this Friday.
