...“the Beckham and Gerrard of college soccer” (continued)

Tom is originally from Portsmouth, England, and has been extremely successful since being released by Portsmouth FC.  He came out to the USA with current NCAA II National Champions Fort Lewis, CO.

He played four years and has been able to accumulate several credentials, such as National Champion in both PDL (Ventura County Fusion) and NCAA II (Fort Lewis), NSCAA All American, NCAA II Tournament team and 2009 MVP.

Despite attracting attention from a number of USL clubs, he remarked, “I'm so excited to be joining up with some of my former Great Britain teammates at Baton Rouge. I am looking forward to playing in midfield with Scott McCubbin and playing with and under new head coach Stuart Hayers. Playing for a club with ambition and heading in the right direction was an option I couldn’t afford to pass up and I can’t wait to get started!”

Joining coach Hayers in praising Capitals’ latest acquisitions Capitals GM Ben Callon added, “Once again Hayers has brought in players of the highest caliber for our push for the PDL Championship title.  I look for these two players to bolster the team in our hunt for success this season - they have been likened to the Beckham and Gerrard of College Soccer!”
