Gordon is happy to be playing his first season in PDL at the age of just 21 and added,
"Playing with and against a few of these players is very exciting because I know
the level I must play at to contribute. I know coach Hayers has a few ideas of what
positions he likes me to play in order to help the team and if and when I get the
opportunity to step on the field I can't wait to give my best to the side."
Ewan
Clarke (pictured above in Watford’s gold uniform)is the latest of the trio to sign
and, following his year of amateur reinstatement, he will be looking to contribute
to Lynn University’s 2010 season. His year of practice at Lynn University has already
provided Capitals’ staff with enough reason to sign Clarke who is a former Watford
FC first team squad member, boasting the 2008 pre-
Ewan’s dream of a professional contract were cut short due to an ankle injury, but bouncing back and taking a scholarship in the USA has rekindled his desire to play at the highest level.
Capitals’ GM Ben Callon said, “A player of Ewan’s caliber is not easy to find. I
knew immediately when I saw him in training sessions that his strength and goal scoring
prowess were attributes we wanted at Baton Rouge."
Hayers added, "Ewan will complement
players and formations very well. He is a natural goalscorer, which is rare, and

Scott Gordon is also a former Mercer University standout becoming a Freshman All-
Coach Stuart Hayers was delighted to capture Scott Gordon saying, "Scott is a thoroughbred. He has the raw attributes and soccer brain to excel in the PDL and I am certain we will eventually see him playing at a higher level following his college eligibility"
